Our classes up and running for 2022, currently only under 16s are permitted to physically attend classes inline with Scottish Government rules but all classes are streamed via Zoom allowing our adult members to particpate. Learn Traditional Shotokan Karate

Livingston Karate Club has been in operation since the 1980's
teaching traditional Shotokan Karate classes around West Lothian.
Our instructors have karate qualifications awarded by bonafidee
karate instructors.

Classes in a Safe Environment

We have classes suitable for adults and Children at Craigswood Sports Centre in Livingston.
Our Sister club Wester Inch Karate Club has a class at Simpsons Primary School in Bathgate

The regular class is open to adults and children from 9 years old.

For younger children we have our Dragon Ninjas classes, these are suitable for 5 to 8 year olds, giving them a great introduction to karate.

Family Friendly Organisation

We are a family friendly organisation, which is reflected in
our pricing structure and membership.

Our pedigree is important to us, we have Club Accredition with
West Lothian Council and have been registered with them for ten years.
In addition to being members of West Lothian Sports Council.

As many of our members are children we hold current up to date registration
as a Youth Group (registration number 70) and hold Club Accrediation with Active Schools.

Our instructors and assistants are over 18 years old, fully insured and have undergone PVG checks
with Disclosure Scotland and Volunteer Scotland to ensure the safety of the junior members.

Since 2005 the club has been run by Grahame Brown, 4th Dan. All instructors
teach on a voluntary basis and the fees collected are
used to cover hall expenses, equipment,
club social events and courses with professional trainers.
